Protecting Our Community

We serve a rapidly growing city of approximately 97,000 residents. We have an authorized staffing level of 131 sworn officers and approximately 149 total personnel. We have special programs and services provided by the department.

 

Fargo Police Headquarters is located at 222 4th Street North. It's open from 
8:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Mission Statement and Values

The work of the Fargo Police Department is driven by the principles expressed in our mission statement: "The Fargo Police Department strives to provide the citizens of Fargo quality service and a secure community. We are committed to the professional growth of our officers and department in order to better create and preserve a positive partnership with the community we serve."

Our South Fargo office is located in a two-story building at 3350 35th Ave. S. It's open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our phone number is 461-7878.

 

We offer several types of services at our south Fargo site, including:

  • taking or providing copies of criminal incident and traffic crash reports.
  • taking citizen fingerprints.
  • helping citizens obtain criminal history reports.
  • answering citizen questions. 
  • providing crime prevention information.

These services are available, without an appointment, during the office's normal operating hours.The CHARISM center, a nonprofit community organization, is our neighbor at this location.
